Vortex nights happen once a month on Fridays. Unless otherwise specified, live music sets begin at 9pm and end at 1am. Guests are welcome to stay beyond that point but may be subject to abstract noises or dad jokes by the host or hosts.
There is a $10 door cover for all events. This goes entirely to guest musicians and recouping nightly vortex expenses.

Funky Dance off
Friday April 14 we have a very special funk dance party with two great visiting out of town players. Jonathan "Funkasaurus" Cole will show us how they do it in Ashville NC with his buttery tenor sax and Uri "Stank Face" Kleinman will rip it up Toronto-style on the bass. Bring your comfy shoes 👟 👟

The Vortex is a loft space in Greenpoint offering regular performances. Our mission is to provide a platform for new music creation and performance, with an emphasis on new jazz. We host regular music performances with a rotating roster of artists, usually on a Friday. Check instagram to be sure. Contact for location.
